There are 47 incidents in the Torrance Police Department Weekly Crime Log at: https://www.torranceca.gov/home/showpublisheddocument?id=62394 RESIDENTIAL BURGLARIES There were 2 in Torrance, both were houses being fumigated. 11/8-11/9 21800 Block Marjorie Ave – Southwood 11/9 23900 Block Huber Ave - Southeast Torrance AUTO BURGLARIES There were 17 in Torrance and none in Southeast Torrance. 10 vehicles were unlocked and windows smashed in 3 vehicles for entry. Items stolen included a backpack, laptop, eye glasses, checkbooks, parking pass, guitar, golf clubs, electric cart, cash, masks, MP3, credit cards, SS card, purse, sunglasses, tools, camera, clothes, cash, CDs, more sunglasses, more clothes, registration, bucket, tool bag, power and hand tools. AUTO THEFT There were 12 vehicles stolen in Torrance including 1 in Southeast Torrance. 11/8 12PM to 2:16PM 22700 Block Western Av Knolls Trailer Park 2000 Chev Silverado THEFT There were 9 incidents in Torrance and 1 in Southeast Torrance. 11/10 6PM 23400 Arlington Av (Apartment) Multiple mailboxes pried open. 4 catalytic converters were stolen from vehicles, mail was taken out of a mailbox in the 2900 Block of Sonoma St, multiple mailboxes were opened in the 3600 Block of Spencer St and a delivered parcel was stolen from a porch in the 23800 Block of Audrey Av. This report is for Sunday, July 11, 2021 through Saturday, July 17, 2021. 45 incidents reported in the City of Torrance Crime Log at: https://www.torranceca.gov/home/showpublisheddocument/67336/637625553607530000 RESIDENTIAL BURGLARIES There were 3 in Torrance. 1 each in Southeast Torrance, Old Torrance and the Hillside area. Southeast Torrance 7 12 5PM 2400 Block 235th Place Suspect entered open garage, entered residence via open access door, fled when resident yelled at him. No property loss Old Torrance 7 12 1AM 800 Block Portola Ave Suspected entered residence via unlocked door and fled when victim woke up in the bedroom. Hillside 7 16 2:44AM 2500 Ridgeland Rd Glass Panel removed to unlock door for entry, Suspects fled when victim awoke, screamed and chased them out of the residence.
