10 vehicle batteries were stolen last week in Southeast Torrance.  Usually the cables are also cut so the batteries and the cables have to be replaced.   This morning an alert Gardena resident observed the Energizer Bunnies digging up a battery instead of carrots.  Gardena Police responded in record time and caught the bunnies.   John Bailey, President Southeast Torrance Homeowners’ Association, Inc. (SETHA) setha-torrance.blogspot.com   Gardena PD Facebook Posting   Batteries not included -- Early this morning, a young lady walked out to her porch to take a smoke break when she heard a car stop alongside her home. Two men got out and forced the hood open to her parked car. Knowing that she wasn’t scheduled for a free oil change, she immediately called 9-1-1.
