This report is for Sunday, October 18, 2020 through Saturday, October 24, 2020. 62 incidents in the Torrance Police Department Weekly Crime Log at: https://www.torranceca.gov/home/showdocument?id=62155 RESIDENTIAL BURGLARIES There were 4 in Torrance and none in Southeast Torrance. 1 each in North, Seaside, Torrance Heights and Walteria. 3 residences were unsecured. AUTO BURGLARIES There were 22 in Torrance and none in Southeast Torrance. 11 vehicles were unlocked and windows smashed in 5 vehicles for entry. AUTO BURGLARY There were 6 in Torrance and none in Southeast Torrance. 2 vehicles were unlocked and windows smashed in 3 vehicles. Ringo Chiu | Staff | Los Angeles Business Journal A Torrance building under renovation for use by Amazon.com Inc. has been sold for $81 million, making it one of the priciest industrial deals in a decade, based on price per square foot, according to CoStar Group Inc. The transaction price of $548.33 per square foot is the twice the average rate for the area, according to CoStar. The former Costco Wholesale Corp. warehouse store is being updated for use as an Amazon Hub warehouse space, with a small consumer operation. At the time Costco said that it was too small.
