This report is for Sunday, December 13, 2020 through Saturday, December 19, 2020. 65 items in the Torrance Police Department Weekly Crime Log at: https://www.torranceca.gov/home/showpublisheddocument?id=62767 RESIDENTIAL BURGLARY There was 1 in Torrance in the Southwood Riviera area. 12/14/2020 4:40 AM 22700 Block Ladeene Avenue Suspect took property out of unlocked vehicle, used remote to enter garage and took cash, garage remote and can of soda. AUTO BURGLARIES There were 21 in Torrance including 1 in Southeast Torrance and 5 in the 4400 Block of Pacific Coast Highway. 12/15 6PM to 12/16 7:20 AM 23700 Cabrillo Av Wallet, cash, sunglasses and purse taken from possibly unlocked vehicle. Windows were smashed in 12 vehicles and 4 vehicles were unlocked. HOUSEHOLD HAZARDOUS WASTE (HHW) COLLECTION EVENT Saturday, December 19. 2020, 9 AM to 3 PM, Rain or Shine Location: Lomita City Hall Parking Lot - 24300 Narbonne Avenue, Lomita, CA 90717 Entrance to the event is off Narbonne Avenue not 242nd Street. There are 48 incidents in the Torrance Police Department Weekly Crime Log at: https://www.torranceca.gov/home/showpublisheddocument?id=62591 RESIDENTIAL BURGLARIES There were 2 in Torrance. 1 in Country Hills and 1 in Southwood Riviera. AUTO BURGLARIES There were 12 in Torrance and none in Southeast Torrance. Entry made in 5 vehicles by unknown means, 4 vehicles were unlocked, 2 vehicles had door locks pried and 1 vehicle a window was smashed for entry. Items stolen included: storage container, gym bag, sunglasses, bag, wallet, US Mail, purse, storage bin, pictures, video games, clothes, EDD card, blank checks, clothes, debit card, key, vehicle registration, AAA card, another purse, cash and insurance paperwork. AUTO BURGLARIES There were 4 in Torrance and none in Southeast Torrance. Windows were smashed in 2 vehicles, door punched in 1 vehicle and 1 vehicle was unlocked. Items stolen included purse, cell phone, food, clothes, cosmetics, wallet, backpack, laptop, headphones and medication. AUTO THEFT There were 5 vehicles stolen in Torrance and none in Southeast Torrance. 3 of the vehicles included Ford, Chev and Toyota pickups. THEFT There were 14 incidents in Torrance and 1 in Southeast Torrance. 11/26 Thanksgiving Day Afternoon 2000 Block 236th Street – Delivered groceries stolen from porch.
