Weekly Crime Report for 11 17, 2019 to 11 23, 2019

  This report is for Sunday, November 17, 2019 through Saturday, November 23, 2019. 45 incidents in the Torrance Police Department Weekly Crime Log at: https://www.torranceca.gov/home/showdocument?id=56510   RESIDENTIAL BURGLARIES There were 4 in Torrance.  1 each in Southeast Torrance, Hillside, North and West Torrance.   11 23 2019   7 PM  1700 Block 236th St  Residence tented for fumigation entered.  Unknown loss.   In the Hillside burglary, suspect took property out of an unlocked vehicle and attempted to open residence door. In the North Torrance burglary, suspect attempted to force open a door and window.  No entry, no loss. In the West Torrance burglary, suspect attempted to force open a sliding glass door.    No entry, no loss.   AUTO BURGLARIES There were 14 in Torrance and none in Southeast Torrance. 3 vehicles were unlocked and windows were smashed in 4 vehicles for entry.   AUTO THEFT Three vehicles were stolen in Torrance and no

Weekly Crime Report for 11-10-19 thru 11-16-19

    This report is for Sunday, November 10, 2019 through Saturday, November 16, 2019. 59 items listed in the Torrance Police Department Weekly Crime Log. RESIDENTIAL BURGLARIES There were 6 in Torrance and none in Southeast Torrance. 2 in North Torrance, 2 in the Riviera, 1 in Torrance Heights and 1 in Country Hills.   On November 11th,  a key was used to enter a residence in the 400 Block of Paseo De La Playa, in the Riviera, and suspects took up residence in a vacation rental.  They fled with stolen electronics when confronted by a housekeeper.   AUTO BURGLARIES There were 21 in Torrance including 1 in Southeast Torrance. 11/13/2019  12:15 AM       2000 Block 238th St Battery stolen from vehicle. Santa Float in Southeast Torrance on December 4th and 5th

 The Torrance Police Officer’s Association Santa Float, in Torrance,  will begin on Saturday, November 30th, the Saturday after Thanksgiving.  Additional details can be found at:  https://torrancepoa.com/annual-events/santa-float-schedule . The schedule can be impacted by rainy weather. The Santa Float is scheduled for the following two evenings in Southeast Torrance. WEDNESDAY, DECEMBER 4TH.     This report is for Sunday, October 27, 2019 through Saturday, November 2, 2019. 46 items on the Torrance Police Department Weekly Crime Log at: https://wwwtorranceca.gov/home/showdocument?id=56088   RESIDENTIAL BURGLARIES There were 5 in Torrance.  2 in North Torrance, 1 in Old Torrance, 1 in the Delthorne Park area and 1 in Southeast Torrance. 10/30 8 am to 7 pm              23000 Block Arlington Ave   Suspect entered by unknown means and took jewelry, food and beauty products.   COMMERCIAL BURGLARIES There were 2 in Torrance and both were in Southeast Torrance. 10/28 to 10/30                     23300 Block Arlington Ave.  Camping gear taken out of parking garage. 10/29  2:15 pm to 3:15 PM  23300 Block Arlington Ave.  Vacuum taken out of parking garage.   AUTO BURGLARIES There were 17 in Torrance and 3 in Southeast Torrance.  This report is for Sunday, October 20, 2019 through Saturday, October 26, 2019. 57 incidents listed in the Torrance Police Department Weekly Crime Log at: https://www.torranceca.gov/home/showdocument?id=55898 RESIDENTIAL BURGLARIES There were 6 in Torrance.  1 each in Southeast Torrance, Hollywood Riviera and Walteria along with 3 in North Torrance. 10 21 2019  2 AM to 8:26 AM  1700 236th Street Suspect entered unsecured garage and took a 2007 Lexus LS460 and cases of beer. AUTO BURGLARIES There were 12 in Torrance and none in Southeast Torrance.  2 vehicles were unlocked and windows were smashed in 5 vehicles for entry. On 10/22/2019, at 4:43 PM, at the intersection of Western Avenue and Torrance Blvd, a semi truck was stopped for the traffic signal and a pallet of electronics was stolen from the semi trailer.
