Weekly Crime Report for Southeast Torrance

This report is for Sunday, June 18, 2017 through Saturday, June 24, 2017. There were 31 incidents reported to Torrance Police.   RESIDENTIAL BURGLARIES There were 4 in Torrance and none in Southeast Torrance. 3 in North Torrance and 1 in Old Torrance.  A window was open in one residence and a door in another.   AUTO BURGLARIES There were 10 in Torrance and none in Southeast Torrance. Items stolen included purses (3), backpacks (2), shoes, gym bags, sunglasses, CD’s, cash, chargers, hairbrush, tennis racquets, apron, ID, gift card and tools.   AUTO THEFT There were 5 stolen vehicles in Torrance and 1 in Southeast Torrance.   6 18 17 10PM to 6 19 17 8:30AM    23700 Block Arlington Av Stolen 1997 Honda Accord.   THEFT There were 6 instances in Torrance and none in Southeast Torrance. This report is for Sunday, June 11th through Saturday, June 17, 2017. There are 37 incidents in the log.   RESIDENTIAL BURGLARIES There were 2 in Torrance and none in Southeast Torrance. 1 in North Torrance and 1 in Old Torrance.   AUTO BURGLARIES There were 8 in Torrance and none in Southeast Torrance.   This report is for Sunday, May 28, 2017 through Saturday, June 3, 2017. There were 59 incidents reported to Torrance Police.   RESIDENTIAL BURGLARIES There were 5 in Torrance and 1 each in Southeast Torrance, North Torrance, Riveria, Southwood and Southwood-Sunray.   5 31 2017  8:30 AM to 5:13 PM  2400 Block 236th Place. Suspect pried open window, ransacked/no loss,.   AUTO BURGLARIES There were 18 in Torrance with 9 of them in North Torrance. 1 vehicle was unlocked and windows were smashed in 12 vehicles for entry.   This is a posting on NextDoor.com concerning a package taken from a porch on Lomita Park Place in Lomita  on Friday, June 9th.   The vehicle is a 4 door SUV, Toyota or Honda, Light Grey or White.  It is the vehicle in the two photos.    John Bailey, President Southeast Torrance Homeowners’ Association, Inc.
