This report is for Sunday, April 13, 2014 through Saturday, April 19, 2014 RESIDENTIAL BURGLARIES There were three residential burglaries in Torrance and none in Southeast Torrance 1 in North Torrance. The residence was tented for fumigation and a window was smashed for entry. 1 in Old Torrance and 1 at the Marriott Hotel. AUTO BURGLARIES There were six in Torrance and none in Southeast Torrance. The Easy Reader, an edition of The Register, Thursday, April 24, 2014 edition reported the following statistics: Residential and Commercial burglaries in Torrance 2013 566 An increase of 7% since 2012 and 11% since 2011 2012 529 2011 510 2010 516 2009 442 In the first two months of 2014, 114 burglaries were reported in Torrance.
