This report is for Sunday, October 18th through Saturday, October 24, 2015. There were 52 incidents reported to Torrance Police. RESIDENTIAL BURGLARIES There were 8 in Torrance and none in Southeast Torrance. 3 in North, 2 in West, 1 in Old Torrance, 1 near DePortula Park and 1 in Southwood. Entry was made via sliding doors in 5 of the burglaries. AUTO BURGLARIES There were 12 in Torrance and none in Southeast Torrance. 3rd row seats were removed from one vehicle. AUTO THEFT There were 7 vehicles stolen including 1 forklift.  None in Southeast Torrance. ROBBERY – WEAPON Friday, October 23rd, Noon   1900 Block 238th St (Walnut St) Suspect responded to victim’s Craiglist and brandishes a handgun that victim takes away.  No loss. Lomita Sheriff Detectives Arrest Torrance Woman

  Lomita Detectives File 33 Counts of Forgery on Torrance Resident A 39 year old Torrance resident is facing 33 counts of forgery and grand theft charges.   Lomita detectives, investigating a forgery case identified and arrested Jennifer McBee, 39, of Torrance CA. During the investigation, McBee was identified in an additional, unrelated, high dollar loss forgery and grand theft case.   The victim, a 73 year old Rancho Palos Verdes resident was alerted by his bank of unusual banking transactions.   On Wednesday, October 21, 2015, Lomita detectives presented the case to the Los Angeles County District Attorney’s Office in Torrance Superior Court. 33 counts, related to forgery and grand theft were filed.  McBee remains in custody on a no bail hold.  http://shq.lasdnews.net/content/uoa/LMT/LMT-PR-LomitaDetectivesFile.pdf

This report is for Sunday, October 11, 2015 through Saturday, October 17, 2015. There were 56 reported incidents.   RESIDENTIAL BURGLARIES There were 4 in Torrance and none in Southeast Torrance. 3 in Seaside Ranchos and 1 in Delthorne.   AUTO BURGLARIES There were 10 in Torrance and none in Southeast Torrance.   AUTO THEFT There were 9 in Torrance and none in Southeast Torrance.   Catalytic converters were stolen from three vehicles and third row seats were stolen from three other vehicles.   Pursuit leads to the arrest of five burglary suspects in Rancho Palos Verdes 10/23/2015 Five burglary suspects in a stolen car were arrested by Lomita Deputies following a short pursuit. This report is for Sunday, October 4, 2015 through Saturday, October 10, 2015 55 incidents were reported to Torrance Police during the period.   RESIDENTIAL BURGLARIES There were 7 in Torrance.  3 in Old Torrance, 2 in Southeast Torrance and 2 in the Hillside area. Windows were left open in three of the homes.   Wednesday, October 7th, 9:10 AM to 10 AM, 1900 Block 234th St (Cabrillo) Suspect entered open window, ransacked and took electronics/jewelry. Windows were open in 2 of the incidents and 1 window was unlocked in another home.   AUTO BURGLARIES There were 15 in Torrance and none in Southeast Torrance.
