Two Cats Missing After House Fire in Southeast Torrance

  These two cats were not found after the house fire in the home on 236th Street between Arlington and Cabrillo on Monday morning.  Gracie is the grey and white cat and Minnie is the black and white cat.  They were house cats and would venture outside in the back yard only. New 28 Unit Hotel in Southeast Torrance Continued Indefinitely by City Council

 The Torrance City Council voted to continue the matter for the reduced 28 unit hotel indefinitely to a date to be determined.   The Planning Commission previously denied a Conditional Use Permit for a 34 unit hotel to be located at 2320 Sepulveda Blvd in Southeast Torrance.   http://torrance.granicus.com/MetaViewer.php?view_id=8&clip_id=13488&meta_id=291203   MOTION:   Moved by Councilmember Chen, seconded by Councilmember Mattucci continue the matter indefinitely to a date to be determined. Proposed New Hotel in Southeast Torrance May Get Rejected Again

  The Torrance City Council will meet on Tuesday, October 23, 2018 at 7 PM in the City Council Chambers for a consideration of an appeal  of a Planning Commission denial of a Conditional Use Permit to allow a new 28-suite hotel in the C-3 zone at 2320 Sepulveda Blvd.   Recommendation of the Planning Commission and Community Development Director that City Council deny the appeal and adopt a RESOLUTION denying without prejudice a Conditional Use Permit to allow a new 28-suite hotel on property located in the C-3 Zone at 2320 Sepulveda Boulevard.     Link to the agenda item including the reasons for the recommendation to deny issuing a CUP for the new hotel.   http://torrance.granicus.com/MetaViewer.php?view_id=8&event_id=7190&meta_id=290858   John Bailey, President Southeast Torrance Homeowners’ Association, Inc.
