Weekly Crime Report 9 16 2018 to 9 22 2018

   This report is for Sunday, September 16, 2018 through Saturday, September 22, 2018. 48 incidents listed in the complete Torrance PD Weekly Crime Log available at: https://www.torranceca.gov/home/showdocument?id=44275   RESIDENTIAL BURGLARIES There were 4 in Torrance and none in Southeast Torrance. 1 each in North, Madrona, Seaside and Southwood Riviera.   AUTO BURGLARIES There were 10 in Torrance and 1 in Southeast Torrance.   9 17 18 Noon to 9 18 18 PM  2000 Block 234th St (Cabrillo-Arlington)                                                 Dental goggles and sunglasses taken from possibly unsecured vehicle.   AUTO THEFT There were 8 stolen vehicles in Torrance and none in Southeast Torrance.   THEFT There were 9 incidents and none in Southeast Torrance. Weekly Crime Report for 9 9 18 to 9 15 18

  This report is for Sunday, September 9, 2018 through Saturday, September 15, 2018. There were 38 reported incidents.  This is the link to the complete Torrance PD Log: https://www.torranceca.gov/home/showdocument?id=44009   RESIDENTIAL BURGLARIES There were 5 in Torrance and none in Southeast Torrance. 2 in West Torrance and 1 each in Old Torrance, Delthorne and Hollywood Riviera.   AUTO BURGLARIES There were 7 in Torrance and none in Southeast Torrance. Items stolen included a cosmetics bag, gym bag, tablet, backpack, keyboard, neck massager, GPS, transponder, coin purse, cash, keys, jewelry, scents, and charger.   AUTO THEFT There were 4 stolen vehicles in Torrance and none in Southeast Torrance.   THEFT There were 12 incidents in Torrance and none in Southeast Torrance. City Proposes Traffic Signal at Sepulveda Blvd and Pennsylvania Ave

  The City of Torrance Planning Commission will meet tomorrow night, WEDNESDAY, SEPTEMBER 19, 2018 at 7 pm in the Torrance City Council Chambers, 3031 Torrance Blvd, Torrance CA to consider a proposal for a Wendy’s drive-thru restaurant and adjoining commercial building on the old El Paso Cantina site at 3404 Sepulveda Blvd in Southeast Torrance.   There are several other items on the agenda before the Wendy’s project so  it will take some time for the two previous proceedings to be completed before this agenda is considered.   The El Paso Cantina property has been vacant for two years.  The offer for a Wendy’s franchisee is more desirable than another car wash, liquor store, hotel, or a gasoline station.  The unoccupied site has been vandalized, burglarized and one RV owner even decided to park his vehicle in the lot without permission.

Items stolen included purse, laptop, cell phone, briefcase, another laptop, ID, another purse, more purses, keys, breast pump, backpack, laptop, documents, gym bag, clothes, cash, credit cards, ID, vehicle tailgate, keys, more cash, stereo, GPS unit, gym bag, speaker, another laptop, watches, visor mirror and insurance papers.    AUTO THEFT There were 3 vehicles stolen in Torrance.   THEFT The
