There are 70 items in the Torrance Police Weekly Crime Log at: https://www.torranceca.gov/home/showdocument?id=62107 RESIDENTIAL BURGLARIES 2 in Torrance. 1 in North Torrance and 1 in Torrance Heights. AUTO BURGLARIES There were 16 in Torrance and none in Southeast Torrance. 4 vehicles were unlocked and 7 had windows smashed for entry. Items stolen included camping gear, face masks, tools, medication, backpack, 3 purses, sunglasses, bag, cosmetics, tablet, cell phone, wallet, game controller, GPS, perfume, manual, laptop, tablet, cash, key, garage remote and charger. THEFT There were 18 incidents in Torrance and none in Southeast Torrance. 2 failed attempts to steal catalytic converters but 10 catalytic converters were stolen. Southeast Torrance 7 12 5PM 2400 Block 235th Place Suspect entered open garage, entered residence via open access door, fled when resident yelled at him. No property loss Old Torrance 7 12 1AM 800 Block Portola Ave Suspected entered residence via unlocked door and fled when victim woke up in the bedroom. Hillside 7 16 2:44AM 2500 Ridgeland Rd Glass Panel removed to unlock door for entry, Suspects fled when victim awoke, screamed and chased them out of the residence.
