Proposed Housing Project at the SW Corner of Hawthorne Blvd and Via Vilmonte

 The Draft Environmental Impact Report for the Solana Residential Development Project at the southwest corner of Hawthorne Blvd and Via Vilmonte is now available for review and comments from the public.

The City will collect comments on the contents of the Draft Environmental Impact Report (DEIR) for a period of 45 days, June 19, 2019 through August 5, 2019.  Comments can be emailed to OMartinez@TorranceCA.Gov or mailed to the City of Torrance, Community Development Department at 3031 Torrance Boulevard, Torrance, CA 90503.

All written comments received during the comment period will be responded to in the Final EIR.  The Public Hearing for the project will be scheduled once the Final EIR is released and the silhouettes are constructed.  Comments on the silhouettes will be accepted and reviewed as part of the Precise Plan process up to and throughout the Public Hearing process.

Southeast Torrance 7 12 5PM 2400 Block 235th Place Suspect entered open garage, entered residence via open access door, fled when resident yelled at him. No property loss Old Torrance 7 12 1AM 800 Block Portola Ave Suspected entered residence via unlocked door and fled when victim woke up in the bedroom. Hillside 7 16 2:44AM 2500 Ridgeland Rd Glass Panel removed to unlock door for entry, Suspects fled when victim awoke, screamed and chased them out of the residence.
