Weekly Crime Report for November 19th through November 28th, 2017

 TORRANCE PLANNING COMMISSION
The agenda includes a petition of Hof’s Hut Restaurant, Inc., 23635 Crenshaw Blvd, Torrance
CA to allow an on-sale general alcohol liquor license.  The Commission will meet on December
6th at 7PM in the City Council Chambers to consider the application.
 
WEEKLY CRIME REPORT
 
Residential Burglaries
There were 4 in North Torrance.  Sliding glass doors were smashed for entry in two homes.
 
Auto Burglaries
There were 18 in Torrance and none in Southeast Torrance.  On Wednesday, November 22nd,
windows were smashed in three vehicles in the 24500 Block of Hawthorne Blvd (Newton).
 
Items stolen from the vehicles included laptop (2) , wallet (3), back pack, shoes, purse (2), coat (2), MP3,
cell phone, cash (2), bank card, medication, sports attire, eyeglasses, jacket, and drone.
 
Auto Theft
There were 3 in Torrance and 1 in Southeast Torrance.
11/21/17 to 11/24/17   2200 Block 229th St   2008 Ford E250 Cargo Van.

Southeast Torrance 7 12 5PM 2400 Block 235th Place Suspect entered open garage, entered residence via open access door, fled when resident yelled at him. No property loss Old Torrance 7 12 1AM 800 Block Portola Ave Suspected entered residence via unlocked door and fled when victim woke up in the bedroom. Hillside 7 16 2:44AM 2500 Ridgeland Rd Glass Panel removed to unlock door for entry, Suspects fled when victim awoke, screamed and chased them out of the residence.
