Weekly Crime Report for Southeast Torrance April 9 through 15, 2017

 This report is for Sunday, April 9, 2017 through Saturday, April 15, 2017.
There were 57 incidents reported during the week.
 
RESIDENTIAL BURGLARIES
There were 5 in Torrance and none in Southeast Torrance.
3 in North Torrance, 1 in Olde Torrance and 1 in the Hillside area.
 
There was an attempted residential break-in at an occupied residential home
in the area of 230th and Andreo on Tuesday, April 18th at 9:25 AM.   This area is north of
Hull Middle School.  The suspect described as an African-American, male, early
20’s, left the scene in a white Toyota Prius when confronted.
 
AUTO BURGLARIES
There were 11 in Torrance and 1 in Southeast Torrance.
Tuesday, April 11th  1 AM to 11 AM  2300 Block 231st St
Suspect punched door lock and took stereo.
 
Items stolen this week from vehicles included tote, registration,
insurance, computer monitor, folder, jackets, pet pug, stereo, cell
phone, key, cash, MP3, GPS, purse, sunglasses and hat.
 
AUTO THEFT
There were 6 stolen vehicles in Torrance and 1 in Southeast Torrance.
April 12th, 10:30 PM to April 13th, 7:40 AM  23700 Block Walnut St
1991 Honda Accord stolen.
 
THEFT
There were 11 incidents of reported theft and 2 in Southeast Torrance.
 
Saturday, April 15th 7:18 PM to 8:05 PM  24200 Block Walnut
Suspect disconnects wiring and takes property from vehicle engine
compartment/sparkplug wire.
 
Thursday, April 13th, 5:48PM, 2000 Block 230th St
Delivered parcels taken from front porch.

Southeast Torrance 7 12 5PM 2400 Block 235th Place Suspect entered open garage, entered residence via open access door, fled when resident yelled at him. No property loss Old Torrance 7 12 1AM 800 Block Portola Ave Suspected entered residence via unlocked door and fled when victim woke up in the bedroom. Hillside 7 16 2:44AM 2500 Ridgeland Rd Glass Panel removed to unlock door for entry, Suspects fled when victim awoke, screamed and chased them out of the residence.
