Weekly Crime Report for Southeast Torrance and Update on Hazardous Waste Roundup


This report is for Sunday, November 1, 2015 through Friday, November 6, 2015
There were 33 incidents reported to Torrance Police during this six day period.
 
RESIDENTIAL BURGLARIES
There were two in Torrance.  1 in North Torrance and 1 in Southeast Torrance.
 
Monday, November 2nd, 10:03 PM 18900 Felbar Avenue (North Torrance)
Suspect entered unsecured garage and took speaker, tablet, wallet, laptop and watch.
 
Tues, Nov 3rd, 5 PM to Nov 4th, 7 AM  23700 Block Western Avenue, Knolls Trailer Park (SE Torrance)
Window forcibly removed and vacuum and floor tiles were taken.
 
There were 2 residential burglaries in Lomita and 7 in Rancho Palos Verdes.
Sliding glass doors shattered in 6 of the RPV burglaries. 
A suspect in one of the Lomita break-ins is described as “Male/dark skinned/big stature/dark pants/bright shoes.”
Two suspects in one of the RPV break-ins are described as “2MB’s/young/black hoodies/black clothing and possible a
  third suspect young/thin/tall wearing gray jacket and black pants”.
 
AUTO BURGLARY
There were 11 in Torrance and none in Southeast Torrance.  5 were in daylight hours and 6 when it was dark.
Vehicles windows were smashed in 4 incidents and vehicles were unlocked in another 4 incidents.
Stolen from the vehicles were coins, purses, wallets, cash, drivers license, credit cards, make up,
cartons of cigarettes, MP3 player, coin purse, cell phone, sunglasses, headphones, lighter, charger,
laptop, sunglasses, backpack and tote. 
 
AUTO THEFT
There were 6 stolen vehicles in Torrance and one in Southeast Torrance.
Monday, November 2nd, 5 PM – 10 PM, 2400 Block 229th Street (Pennsylvania Avenue)
2009 Cadillac CTS stolen.
 
HOUSEHOLD HAZARDOUS WASTE AND E-WASTE ROUNDUP
Saturday, December 12, 2015, 9:00 am to 3:00 pm, Lomita City Hall Parking Lot
24300 Narbonne Avenue, Lomita.  Open to all Los Angeles County residents.

Southeast Torrance 7 12 5PM 2400 Block 235th Place Suspect entered open garage, entered residence via open access door, fled when resident yelled at him. No property loss Old Torrance 7 12 1AM 800 Block Portola Ave Suspected entered residence via unlocked door and fled when victim woke up in the bedroom. Hillside 7 16 2:44AM 2500 Ridgeland Rd Glass Panel removed to unlock door for entry, Suspects fled when victim awoke, screamed and chased them out of the residence.
