Weekly Crime Report for Southeast Torrance

 

This report is for Sunday, October 25, 2015 through Saturday, October 31, 2105.
There were 29 incidents reported to Torrance Police during the week.
 
RESIDENTIAL BURGLARY
1 in Torrance
Saturday, October 31st, 10 AM  1800 Block Santa Fe Avenue (Western Ave)
Window screen pried off on open window.  No entry, no loss.
//There were 5 residential burglaries in RPV. //
 
AUTO BURGLARY
There were 6 reported in Torrance and none in Southeast Torrance.
 
AUTO THEFT
There were 2 stolen vehicles in Torrance and none in Southeast Torrance.
 
Coyote Sighting
Last week, on Wednesday, a coyote was sighted in the Marble Estates
and Southwood Sunray areas. A cat was reported to have been killed the
previous night in that area.
Yesterday morning, a coyote was seen in a yard over by Hickory School at 6:30 AM.
According to a source at the Madrona Marsh, there are about 5 in the Torrance area
but none of them live at the marsh.  They are known to traverse the railroad tracks.

Southeast Torrance 7 12 5PM 2400 Block 235th Place Suspect entered open garage, entered residence via open access door, fled when resident yelled at him. No property loss Old Torrance 7 12 1AM 800 Block Portola Ave Suspected entered residence via unlocked door and fled when victim woke up in the bedroom. Hillside 7 16 2:44AM 2500 Ridgeland Rd Glass Panel removed to unlock door for entry, Suspects fled when victim awoke, screamed and chased them out of the residence. AUTO BURGLARIES There were 5 in Torrance and windows were smashed in 3 vehicles for entry. Items stolen included a wallet, speaker, cash, sunglasses, a key, backpacks, clothes, tablet
