RESIDENTIAL BURGLARIES
There were 4 in Torrance.  They were all in the North Torrance Area.
 
AUTO BURGLARY
There were 20 in Torrance and one in Southeast Torrance.
2/7 Sat 9 PM to 2/8 Sun 7 AM  2400 Block 232nd St (Pennsylvania – Crenshaw)
Vehicle entered by unknown means and laptop was stolen.
 
There were 3 instances in the 2700 Block of Skypark Drive (Lowe’s)
2/6 Fri 3:20 to 3:50 PM  Third row seat stolen
2/7 Sat 3:45 to 4:30PM  Backpack, laptop, clothes, broadband port stolen from unlocked vehicle.
2/7 Sat 4:30 to 5:30PM  Laptop stolen
 
AUTO THEFT
There were 3 vehicles stolen in Torrance and none in Southeast Torrance.
 
A 24 year old Rolling Hills Estates man was arrested in Manhattan Beach on Tuesday and admitted he burglarized more than 100 cars
in Manhattan Beach during the past six months.  He said it was easy because “every car is unlocked.”  The suspect was
arrested on suspicion of possession of stolen property, burglary, fraud, possession of narcotics paraphernalia and
possession of narcotics.  His rap sheet since 2010 showed a record of possession of marijuana while driving,
possession of a controlled substance, grand theft, possession of methamphetamine and receiving stolen property.

Southeast Torrance 7 12 5PM 2400 Block 235th Place Suspect entered open garage, entered residence via open access door, fled when resident yelled at him. No property loss Old Torrance 7 12 1AM 800 Block Portola Ave Suspected entered residence via unlocked door and fled when victim woke up in the bedroom. Hillside 7 16 2:44AM 2500 Ridgeland Rd Glass Panel removed to unlock door for entry, Suspects fled when victim awoke, screamed and chased them out of the residence.
