 Weekly Crime Report for Sunday, May 10, 2020 through Saturday, May 16, 2020.
32 incidents listed in the Torrance Police Department Weekly Crime Log at:
 
RESIDENTIAL BURGLARY
There was 1 in Torrance in Marble Estates.
5/13 to 5/14     2700 Block 235th St  Bicycle take out of garage.
 
AUTO BURGLARIES
There were 7 in Torrance and none in Southeast Torrance.
4 in North Torrance and 1 each in Madrona, Old Torrance and Southeast Riviera. 
Stolen items included ID, insurance, keys, credit card, cash, garage remote, checkbook,
registration, lipstick, cash, flashlight, reusable bags, wallet, blank check, blanket, hats,
sports jerseys, chairs, and bobbleheads.  6 of the 7 vehicles were unlocked.  Cash was
stolen from 4 vehicles.
 
AUTO THEFT
There were 7 stolen vehicles in Torrance and none in Southeast Torrance.
5 in North Torrance, 1 in Old Torrance and 1 in the Madrona area.
 
THEFT
There were 8 incidents in Torrance and none in Southeast Torrance.
Delivered parcels were stolen from 2 houses in the 5300 Block of Reese Road and 1 house
in the 2100 Block of 177th Street.  3 bicycles were stolen in Torrance.
 
HOMICIDE
5/10/2020  10:06 PM to 10:11 PM  Carson St and Cabrillo Avenue  Suspects fatally shot victim.
Two were arrested in the shooting in Old Torrance.
 
BATTERY-WEAPON/AGG
5/16/2020  1:22AM  2800 Block Pacific Coast Highway  Suspect shot victim in the abdomen.
The Daily Breeze  reported an arrest has been made and the suspect was on parole for accessory to a murder.

This report is for Sunday, July 11, 2021 through Saturday, July 17, 2021. 45 incidents reported in the City of Torrance Crime Log at: https://www.torranceca.gov/home/showpublisheddocument/67336/637625553607530000 RESIDENTIAL BURGLARIES There were 3 in Torrance. 1 each in Southeast Torrance, Old Torrance and the Hillside area. Southeast Torrance 7 12 5PM 2400 Block 235th Place Suspect entered open garage, entered residence via open access door, fled when resident yelled at him. No property loss Old Torrance 7 12 1AM 800 Block Portola Ave Suspected entered residence via unlocked door and fled when victim woke up in the bedroom. Hillside 7 16 2:44AM 2500 Ridgeland Rd Glass Panel removed to unlock door for entry, Suspects fled when victim awoke, screamed and chased them out of the residence.
