Torrance: TPD and TFD have responded to the 1700 block of Cabrillo Ave (between Carson Street and W 218th St) due to police activity. Several people reported hearing gunshots and there is a significant amount of blood in the street, in front of the Plaza hotel (1720 Cabrillo Ave). At least one witness said that a male was lying face down in the street. Also hearing reports that TPD had one male and female were seen in handcuffs. As soon as we get additional info, we will update this post. Updated: 11:10pm PST

TORRANCE — A man was shot to death in Torrance, authorities said Monday.
The shooting was reported about 10:15 p.m. Sunday on Cabrillo Avenue just south of Carson Street, according to the Torrance police watch commander.
Paramedics took the man to Harbor UCLA Medical Center, where he died, according to coroner’s investigator Kelsie Weber.
No further details were immediately available about the shooting.

Southeast Torrance 7 12 5PM 2400 Block 235th Place Suspect entered open garage, entered residence via open access door, fled when resident yelled at him. No property loss Old Torrance 7 12 1AM 800 Block Portola Ave Suspected entered residence via unlocked door and fled when victim woke up in the bedroom. Hillside 7 16 2:44AM 2500 Ridgeland Rd Glass Panel removed to unlock door for entry, Suspects fled when victim awoke, screamed and chased them out of the residence.
