One person killed in Old Torrance shooting and Weekly Crime Report

  
Police were investigating a deadly officer-involved shooting (OIS) Sunday night in Torrance, according to authorities and media reports.
One person was killed in the OIS, media reports said.
It was reported about 8 p.m. in the 1700 block of Carson street, slightly west of Western Avenue, Torrance police said.
No officers were hurt.
It’s unknown at this point what led up to the shooting.
The area around the scene has been closed for the police and death investigation. People were urged to avoid the area.
Broadcast reports said police had an armored vehicle at the scene.
The scene of the incident is the Ralph’s parking lot.

There were 14 in Torrance and none in Southeast Torrance.
AUTO THEFT
There were 3 stolen vehicles in Torrance and 1 in Southeast Torrance.  11 28 18 5:38PM  236th and Walnut St  1988 Toyota Pickup stolen.
THEFT
There were 15 incidents in Torrance and none in Southeast Torrance.  Porch pirates hit the 2300 Block of Jefferson St twice.  On November
28th and 29th, catalytic converters were stolen from 3 vehicles in various sections of Torrance.

Southeast Torrance 7 12 5PM 2400 Block 235th Place Suspect entered open garage, entered residence via open access door, fled when resident yelled at him. No property loss Old Torrance 7 12 1AM 800 Block Portola Ave Suspected entered residence via unlocked door and fled when victim woke up in the bedroom. Hillside 7 16 2:44AM 2500 Ridgeland Rd Glass Panel removed to unlock door for entry, Suspects fled when victim awoke, screamed and chased them out of the residence.
