Tuesday, December 13th, 12:35AM Police Activity in Southeast Torrance 235 and Walnut Streets

 At 12:35 AM, Tuesday Morning, December 13th, Torrance Police received a call of an assault with a deadly weapon (Code 245) that just
occurred in the area of 235th Street and Walnut Street involving possible gang members using a firearm.
 
Victims indicated they were walking in the area of 235th/Walnut when the suspect vehicle approached and two passengers exited,
brandishing a small revolver and began yelling at them.
 
Victims, in fear, fled to a nearby residence and hid as the suspects fled in the suspect vehicle.
 
Torrance Police units responded, code 3, and located the suspect vehicle, which turned out to be a stolen vehicle.
A felony stop was conducted and one subject fled on foot from the vehicle and jumped the fence into the Knolls Lodge Trailer
Park on Walnut.  Two other were detained in the vehicle and a perimeter was established.  Approximately one hour later
into the perimeter, the third subject exited Knolls Lodge Trailer Park and was taken into custody.
 
The area was checked for the firearm but it was not found.  All three suspects lived in Lomita and were 13, 15, and 16 years old.
They were arrested for Code 245, assault with a deadly weapon, 182PC, 602 WIC and 10851 CVD, unlawful taking of a vehicle.

Southeast Torrance 7 12 5PM 2400 Block 235th Place Suspect entered open garage, entered residence via open access door, fled when resident yelled at him. No property loss Old Torrance 7 12 1AM 800 Block Portola Ave Suspected entered residence via unlocked door and fled when victim woke up in the bedroom. Hillside 7 16 2:44AM 2500 Ridgeland Rd Glass Panel removed to unlock door for entry, Suspects fled when victim awoke, screamed and chased them out of the residence.
