There were 55 incidents reported to Torrance Police during the week.
 
RESIDENTIAL BURGLARY
There was one in Torrance and it was in North Torrance.
 
AUTO BURGLARY
There were 23 in Torrance and 1 in Southeast Torrance.
12/8 3:45PM to 12/9 7:30AM   2400 Block 237th Place (Pennsylvania Ave to Crenshaw Blvd)
Vehicle entered by unknown means and clipboard stolen.
Method used to enter vehicles:
5-Smashed window, 6-Unknown means, 4-unlocked, 3-door lock punched, 2-door handle defeated.
 
AUTO THEFT
There were 8 stolen vehicles in Torrance and none in Southeast Torrance.
 
THEFT
There were 11 instances in Torrance and none in Southeast Torrance.
A tailgate was stolen from a pickup in the 300 Block of Palos Verdes Blvd.
 
VANDALISM
There were 3 instances in Torrance and 2 in Southeast Torrance.
12/4  9PM to 12/5 8AM   1900 Block 237th Place  (Walnut to Cabrillo)
Suspect intentionally smashes the windshield of victim’s parked vehicle.
12/5  4PM to 5PM            23100 Block Arlington Avenue
Suspect damages vehicle paint.
There was one instance of egg throwing on December 8th at 5:45PM in the 4100 Block of Emerald St.
 
SIMPLE BATTERY
12/7   11:45PM   23500 Falena Avenue
Suspect punches victim, knocking him to the ground where suspect continues to strike victim.
 
COMMERCIAL BURGLARY
12/4  3PM  to 12/5  5:15AM   23800 Crenshaw Blvd
Suspect smashed window for entry, attempts to open cash register, searches counter area and
took cash.

This report is for Sunday, July 11, 2021 through Saturday, July 17, 2021. 45 incidents reported in the City of Torrance Crime Log at: https://www.torranceca.gov/home/showpublisheddocument/67336/637625553607530000 RESIDENTIAL BURGLARIES There were 3 in Torrance. 1 each in Southeast Torrance, Old Torrance and the Hillside area. Southeast Torrance 7 12 5PM 2400 Block 235th Place Suspect entered open garage, entered residence via open access door, fled when resident yelled at him. No property loss Old Torrance 7 12 1AM 800 Block Portola Ave Suspected entered residence via unlocked door and fled when victim woke up in the bedroom. Hillside 7 16 2:44AM 2500 Ridgeland Rd Glass Panel removed to unlock door for entry, Suspects fled when victim awoke, screamed and chased them out of the residence.
