61 incidents were reported to Torrance Police during the period.
 
RESIDENTIAL BURGLARIES
There were 8 in Torrance.
3 in Southeast Torrance, 2 in Marble Estates, and 1 each in Seaside Ranchos,
West, and Victor Park area.
 
Tuesday, January 5th,  9:30 AM to 1 PM, 23100 Block Huber Avenue
Suspect entered unlocked door, heavily ransacked and took cash, tablets, MP3 and jewelry.
 
Friday, January 8th, 11:30 AM to 12:30PM, 23400 Block Walnut St*
Suspect removed screen on open window for entry/no loss.
 
Friday, January 8th, 10: AM to 11:40 AM, 1800 Block Middlebrook Road*
Suspect pried off window screen, attempted to pry open window and
pry open sliding glass door/no entry/no loss.
*3 of 4 suspects arrested in the January 8th incidents.
Suspects vehicle 2003 Blue Lexus sedan with tinted side windows.
 
AUTO BURGLARIES
There were 18 in Torrance and 2 in Southeast Torrance.
January 7th  1800 Block Sepulveda Blvd
Suspect entered unlocked vehicle and took purse.
January 9th  2400 Block 227th Street
Suspect smashed window and took case containing phone lists.

Southeast Torrance 7 12 5PM 2400 Block 235th Place Suspect entered open garage, entered residence via open access door, fled when resident yelled at him. No property loss Old Torrance 7 12 1AM 800 Block Portola Ave Suspected entered residence via unlocked door and fled when victim woke up in the bedroom. Hillside 7 16 2:44AM 2500 Ridgeland Rd Glass Panel removed to unlock door for entry, Suspects fled when victim awoke, screamed and chased them out of the residence.
