10/23/2015
Five burglary suspects in a stolen car were arrested by Lomita Deputies following a short pursuit.

Lomita deputies, responding to a residential burglary call, received a LOJACK alert of a stolen vehicle in the area, (stolen this morning, out of Marina Del Rey). Deputies quickly located the vehicle which matched the description in the burglary call. When deputies attempted to stop the vehicle, it fled and a pursuit was initiated. The pursuit reached speeds of up to 60 MPH, and terminated when the suspect vehicle failed to navigate a turn and crashed into a residential wall, turning over onto its side. The suspects were trapped inside and had to be extracted by Los Angeles County Fire officials. All five suspects ranged in age from 14 to 17 years old. All suffered minor to moderate injuries and were transported to local hospitals for treatment. Stolen property was recovered and identified by victims of two residential burglaries.
