47 incidents were reported to Torrance Police during the reporting period.
 
RESIDENTIAL BURGLARIES
There were two in Torrance.
One in North Torrance where the suspect entered by unknown means and fled when
confronted by victim inside residence.  No loss.
One in Southwood where the suspect entered victim’s motel room by unknown means
and took a cell phone.
 
AUTO BURGLARIES
There were 10 in Torrance.  7 vehicles were unlocked/unsecured. Entry made in 2 vehicles
by unknown means.  A window was pried open in 1 vehicle.
 
5 in Southeast Torrance, 2 in Seaside, 2 in North and 1 in Madrona.

AUTO THEFT
There were 5 stolen vehicles in Torrance including 1 in Southeast Torrance.

THEFT
There were 19 incidents reported including the theft of 5 catalytic converters.
4 in North Torrance and 1 in Old Torrance.

This report is for Sunday, July 11, 2021 through Saturday, July 17, 2021. 45 incidents reported in the City of Torrance Crime Log at: https://www.torranceca.gov/home/showpublisheddocument/67336/637625553607530000 RESIDENTIAL BURGLARIES There were 3 in Torrance. 1 each in Southeast Torrance, Old Torrance and the Hillside area. Southeast Torrance 7 12 5PM 2400 Block 235th Place Suspect entered open garage, entered residence via open access door, fled when resident yelled at him. No property loss Old Torrance 7 12 1AM 800 Block Portola Ave Suspected entered residence via unlocked door and fled when victim woke up in the bedroom. Hillside 7 16 2:44AM 2500 Ridgeland Rd Glass Panel removed to unlock door for entry, Suspects fled when victim awoke, screamed and chased them out of the residence.
