Weekly Crime Report for Southeast Torrance


This report is for Sunday, July 26, 2015 through Saturday, August 1, 2015.
 
RESIDENTIAL BURGLARIES
There were six in Torrance and none in Southeast Torrance.
3 in West Torrance, 2 in North Torrance and 1 in Southwood.
 
AUTO BURGLARIES
There were nine in Torrance and 1 in Southeast Torrance.
Tuesday, July 28th, 7:34 PM, 2400 Block 239th St (Pennsylvania)
Entry to vehicle made by unknown means.  GPS, cologne and cash taken.
 
AUTO THEFT
There were 3 incidents reported in Torrance and none in Southeast Torrance.
 
THEFT
There were 19 incidents reported in Torrance and none in Southeast Torrance.
A catalytic converter was stolen from a vehicle in the 2700 Block of Skypark Dr
and a third row seat was taken in the 2600 Block of Pacific Coast Highway.
 
Suspects took property off vehicles parked in a dealership lot in the 23900 Block
of Garnier St.  Wheels, tires, grills and headlamps were stolen.
 
A suspect responded to victim’s Craiglist ad and took her property under the guise
of getting payment from his vehicle while in possession of victim’s property/cell phone.
 
Suspect posed as an IRS agent, telephoned victim and convinced her she owes money
which she then deposited in the suspect’s account.
 
Suspect posed as a Microsoft employee, telephoned victim and convinced her that she
needed an anti-virus software update for which she provided her credit card information.

This report is for Sunday, July 11, 2021 through Saturday, July 17, 2021. 45 incidents reported in the City of Torrance Crime Log at: https://www.torranceca.gov/home/showpublisheddocument/67336/637625553607530000 RESIDENTIAL BURGLARIES There were 3 in Torrance. 1 each in Southeast Torrance, Old Torrance and the Hillside area. Southeast Torrance 7 12 5PM 2400 Block 235th Place Suspect entered open garage, entered residence via open access door, fled when resident yelled at him. No property loss Old Torrance 7 12 1AM 800 Block Portola Ave Suspected entered residence via unlocked door and fled when victim woke up in the bedroom. Hillside 7 16 2:44AM 2500 Ridgeland Rd Glass Panel removed to unlock door for entry, Suspects fled when victim awoke, screamed and chased them out of the residence.
