Weekly Crime Report for Southeast Torrance


This report is for Sunday, February 16, 2014 through Saturday, February 22, 2014.
 
RESIDENTIAL BURGLARY
There were 14 residential burglaries in Torrance and none in Southeast Torrance.
5 were in North Torrance, 2 in Hollywood Riviera, 2 in the Hillside area, 2 near Victor Park
and 1 each in Country Hills, Seaside Rancho and Delthorne.
 
This week, there have been two residential burglaries in Southeast Torrance near 230th and
Cabrillo & 236th Street and Haas.
 
AUTO BURGLARY
There were 10 auto burglaries in Torrance and 3 in Southeast Torrance.
 
2/18, Tuesday, 11:45AM  235th and Crenshaw Blvd.  Access gained to vehicle via rolled down
window and wallet was stolen.
 
2/21, Friday, 9PM to 2/22 Saturday, 7:28AM   24100 Block Fulmar Avenue
Vehicle was unlocked and backpack, sleeping bag, camping stove, cook pot, utensils, hatchet,
knife, flashlight, clothes and sunglasses were stolen.
 
2/21, Friday 9:30PM to 2/22, Saturday, 9:30AM  24200 Block Walnut St
Suspect entered possible unlocked vehicle, ransacked and took keys.
 
VANDALISM
2/16, Sunday, 4:17PM     Sur La Brea Park
Suspect graffiti's park bathrooms.

Southeast Torrance 7 12 5PM 2400 Block 235th Place Suspect entered open garage, entered residence via open access door, fled when resident yelled at him. No property loss Old Torrance 7 12 1AM 800 Block Portola Ave Suspected entered residence via unlocked door and fled when victim woke up in the bedroom. Hillside 7 16 2:44AM 2500 Ridgeland Rd Glass Panel removed to unlock door for entry, Suspects fled when victim awoke, screamed and chased them out of the residence.
