This report is for Sunday, January 24, 2021 through Friday, January 29, 2021. There are 39 incidents in the Torrance Police Department Weekly Crime Log at: https://www.torranceca.gov/home/showpublisheddocument?id=63134 RESIDENTIAL BURGLARY There was one in the 25900 Block of Rolling Hills Road where multiple mail boxes were pried open with mail and parcels taken. AUTO BURGLARIES There were 8 in Torrance and none in Southeast Torrance. Windows were smashed in 4 vehicles, 2 were unlocked and entry was made in 2 vehicles by unknown means. Items stolen included a laptop, credit card, duffel bag, food, wallet, clothes, cosmetics,purse, socket set, backpack, tablet, tote, bike parts, tool bag, tools, boots, flashlight and cash. AUTO THEFT There were 6 vehicles stolen including 1in Southeast Torrance. 1 25 2021 7:23 AM 2200 Block 236th Place Stolen 97 Toyota 4Runner Other vehicles stolen this week included a 2001Silverado, 2002 Silverado, 2002 Ford F550, 1997 Chevy Express and a 1998 Chevrolet S10 pickup. THEFT There were 11 incidents in Torrance including 1 in Southeast Torrance. 1 26 6PM to 1 27 7:50AM 2100 Block 237th St Stolen catalytic converter. Southeast Torrance 7 12 5PM 2400 Block 235th Place Suspect entered open garage, entered residence via open access door, fled when resident yelled at him. No property loss Old Torrance 7 12 1AM 800 Block Portola Ave Suspected entered residence via unlocked door and fled when victim woke up in the bedroom. Hillside 7 16 2:44AM 2500 Ridgeland Rd Glass Panel removed to unlock door for entry, Suspects fled when victim awoke, screamed and chased them out of the residence.
