RESIDENTIAL BURGLARIES
There were 5 in Torrance including 1 in Southeast Torrance.
1 each in Southeast, Hillside, Marble Estates, Southwood and North Torrance.
 
12/12/19 5 PM to 7:21 PM  1900 Block 238th St (Walnut-Cabrillo)
Suspect smashed smaller window, reached inside to unlock larger window for entry.
Property ransacked with cash, jewelry and purses stolen.
 
In the Marble Estates burglary, entry was made through an unsecured pet door with
cash and jewelry stolen.
 
AUTO BURGLARIES
There were 7 in Torrance and 3 in Southeast Torrance.  2 vehicles were unlocked and
a window was smashed for entry in 1 vehicle.
 
12/10/19                        2300 Block 230th St (Arlington to PA)
Vehicle entered by unknown means with lunchbox, cash, credit cards, eyeglasses case, gum and gift card stolen.
12/10 to 12/11/19        2200 Block 239th St (Arlington to PA)
Suspect entered possibly unlocked vehicle and took purse.
12/11/19 to 12/12/19  2300 Block 236th St (Arlington to PA)
Bags of electrical tools stolen out of truck bed.
 
AUTO THEFT
There were 4 vehicles stolen in Torrance and none in Southeast Torrance.
 
THEFT
There were 17 incidents in Torrance and 1 in Southeast Torrance.

Southeast Torrance 7 12 5PM 2400 Block 235th Place Suspect entered open garage, entered residence via open access door, fled when resident yelled at him. No property loss Old Torrance 7 12 1AM 800 Block Portola Ave Suspected entered residence via unlocked door and fled when victim woke up in the bedroom. Hillside 7 16 2:44AM 2500 Ridgeland Rd Glass Panel removed to unlock door for entry, Suspects fled when victim awoke, screamed and chased them out of the residence.
