Weekly Crime Report for the period Sunday, October 2, 2016 through Saturday, October 8, 2016.
There were 64 incidents reported to Torrance Police.  The complete report is attached.
 
RESIDENTIAL BURGLARIES
There were 6 in Torrance and none in Southeast Torrance.
3 in North Torrance, 2 in Old Torrance and 1 in Torrance Gardens.
 
AUTO BURGLARIES
There were 14 in Torrance and none in Southeast Torrance.
9 in North Torrance, 2 in Old Torrance and 1 each at Torrance Memorial,
Costco and Hawthorne Blvd & Lomita.
Items stolen included:
Laptop, cd player, vehicle battery, remote, cell phone, ice cream maker, wallet, tool bag, tools, file folder,
brochures, blank check, purse, checkbook, sunglasses, mirror, tablet, handgun, holster, flashlight, baton,
GPS, stereo, tool box, floor cleaner, insurance, stereo, handicap placard, cd’s, backpack, binoculars, clothes
makeup and jumper cables.
 
AUTO THEFT
There were 12 stolen vehicles in Torrance and none in Southeast Torrance.
 
THEFT
There were 16 instances reported in Torrance and none in Southeast Torrance.
Laundry machine coin boxes were broken into again this week in two locations.
Tailgates were removed from two vehicles.  A delivered parcel was taken from
the front porch in the 3800 block of 171st Street in North Torrance.

Southeast Torrance 7 12 5PM 2400 Block 235th Place Suspect entered open garage, entered residence via open access door, fled when resident yelled at him. No property loss Old Torrance 7 12 1AM 800 Block Portola Ave Suspected entered residence via unlocked door and fled when victim woke up in the bedroom. Hillside 7 16 2:44AM 2500 Ridgeland Rd Glass Panel removed to unlock door for entry, Suspects fled when victim awoke, screamed and chased them out of the residence.
