Weekly Crime Report for Southeast Torrance


This report is for Sunday, March 27, 2016 through Saturday, April 2, 2016.
There were a total of 44 incidents listed on the attached report.
 
RESIDENTIAL BURGLARIES
There were 4 in Torrance.  1 each in Southeast Torrance, Walteria, Seaside Ranchos and Central Torrance.
 
3/31/16 Noon to 4/3/16 8:30 AM         2400 Block 237th St (Pennsylvania Ave) (Southeast Torrance)
Window screen removed for entry.  House ransacked and no additional information.
4/2/16  4:20 PM to 4/3/16 1:07 AM     24200 Ward St (Walteria)
Sliding glass door pried open for entry.  House ransacked with jewelry, watch and duffle bag stolen.
3/27/16 1PM to 7PM                             2500 Block Lesserman St  (Central Torrance)
Two window screens removed and attempt was made to open window.  No entry, no loss.
3/27/16  3:21PM                                    5300 Clearsite St (Seaside Ranchos)
Window screen cut and removed to gain entry through window.  Suspect stages property to take but
flees without taking anything when police arrived.
 
AUTO BURGLARIES
There were 14 in Torrance, with 3 vehicles unlocked. 3 of the auto burglaries were in  Southeast Torrance.
3/30/16 7PM TO 3/31/16 6:30AM        23700 Alliene Ave
Suspect entered unlocked vehicle and took tools and checkbook.
4/1/16 9AM                                           2300 Block 238th St
Suspect entered vehicle by unknown means and took snowboard, boots, bindings and bag.
4/1/16 9PM to 4/2/16 10AM                2200 Block 229th Place
Suspect entered vehicle by unknown means and took purse with credit cards.  Suspect used the credit cards.

Cash, Laptop,  Backpacks, Purses, Snowboard, Boots, Bindings, Bag, Clothing, Hat, Stereos, Speakers, Make-up,
Tools, TV’s, Flashlights, Digital Media Players, Checkbook, TV Radio, Car Wax, Cameras, Camera Equipment, Cell
Phone Charger, Battery Cables, Keys, Wallet, ID’s, Gift Cards, In Dash Screen Car Radio, DVD Car Radio, and Knife.
 
AUTO THEFT
There were 6 vehicles stolen in Torrance and none in Southeast Torrance.

Southeast Torrance 7 12 5PM 2400 Block 235th Place Suspect entered open garage, entered residence via open access door, fled when resident yelled at him. No property loss Old Torrance 7 12 1AM 800 Block Portola Ave Suspected entered residence via unlocked door and fled when victim woke up in the bedroom. Hillside 7 16 2:44AM 2500 Ridgeland Rd Glass Panel removed to unlock door for entry, Suspects fled when victim awoke, screamed and chased them out of the residence.
