RESIDENTIAL BURGLARIES
There were 6 residential burglaries in Torrance and none again this week in Southeast Torrance.

AUTO BURGLARIES
There were 15 in Torrance and 1 in Southeast Torrance.
Friday, March 14th 6:30PM to Saturday, March 15th, 5:30AM    2300 Block 235th Street
Tailgate removed from victim’s vehicle.
 
In North Torrance, 3 vehicles were entered by unknown means and the third row seats were stolen.
Suspects entered several unlocked vehicles in the 5400 Block Carmelynn Street and took cash, sunglasses
and other property.
 
Suspects entered 2 vehicles in the 19400 Block Entradero by unknown means, ransacked, with no property loss.
 
 
CITY YARD OPEN HOUSE
The City of Torrance Yard Open House will be held on Saturday, June 7th from 10AM to 2PM.  This event is held
every two years.  More details when available but two years ago it include demonstrations and displays of city vehicles,
buses, garbage trucks, dump trucks, fire trucks, a Gerber ambulance and more. 
Kids are welcome aboard to have their picture taken.
Lots of opportunities for Selfies.
 
 
THE ROCKEFELLER PROPERTY ON LOMITA BLVD
 
Interested parties have been discussing the future of the vacant lot on the north side of Costco.
Will construction begin on the original plans for medical office condominiums along with other commercial business?
Or will it be the site of a new Costco with lots more parking, a new gas station and a Costco car wash?

Southeast Torrance 7 12 5PM 2400 Block 235th Place Suspect entered open garage, entered residence via open access door, fled when resident yelled at him. No property loss Old Torrance 7 12 1AM 800 Block Portola Ave Suspected entered residence via unlocked door and fled when victim woke up in the bedroom. Hillside 7 16 2:44AM 2500 Ridgeland Rd Glass Panel removed to unlock door for entry, Suspects fled when victim awoke, screamed and chased them out of the residence.
