Torrance Police Department provided the following information on a residential burglary on Wednesday Night, March 11th, on 231st Street between Walnut and Cabrillo.
Units responded to a residential burglary in progress. The suspect took property and was confronted by the owner. The suspect pulled a knife on the victim and fled. A citizen reported seeing a subject fitting the description run into another house in the 1900 block of 235 Pl. Officers contained the immediate area and contacted the residents. A helicopter and K-9’s were requested to assist in searching for the suspect. The suspect was located hiding in the rear yard. The suspect was arrested and property was recovered. No citizens or officers were injured. Only the one suspect involved.
