Torrance to transition to Electing Council Members by District instead of At-Large

Weekly Crime Report for Southeast Torrance and Coyote Sighting in SE Torrance

      This report is for Sunday, March 18, 2018 through Saturday, March 24, 2018. 46 incidents are in the log.  Link to the Torrance PD Weekly Crime Log. https://www.torranceca.gov/home/showdocument?id=38499   RESIDENTIAL BURGLARIES There were 8 in Torrance and none in Southeast Torrance. 4 in North Torrance, 2 in West Torrance, 1 in the Seaside area and 1 in the Madrona area. Suspect fled from a North Torrance home when confronted by resident and suspects in a West Torrance home attempt fled when a neighbor called out to them.   AUTO BURGLARIES There were 14 in Torrance and none in Southeast Torrance. 6 vehicles were unlocked.   AUTO THEFT There were 9 stolen vehicles in Torrance and none in Southeast Torrance.   THEFT There were 7 incidents in Torrance and 1 in Southeast Torrance. Search for Suspect in Southeast Torrance Continues

  This report is for Sunday, March 11, 2018 through Saturday, March 17, 2018. 40 items were reported on the Torrance PD Weekly Crime Log. Suspects fled from two homes when confronted by residents.   AUTO BURGLARIES There were 12 in Torrance and one in Southeast Torrance.  4 vehicles were unlocked, windows were smashed for entry in 2 vehicles and door locks punched in 2 vehicles.   3/16  11 PM to 3/17 11PM   23000 Block Arlington Av  Battery stolen from engine compartment of vehicle.   Items stolen included a car battery, cash, gift cards, took kit, wallet, cell phone, jacket, diaper bag, laptop, more cash, sunglasses, cologn

Torrance Refinery ordered to remove tens of thousands of tons of hazardous waste

Weekly Crime Logs for Southeast Torrance and Daily Breeze Crime Reporter Laid Off

 The Weekly Crime Log for Sunday, February 11 through Saturday, February 17, 2018 is not available. The Weekly Crime Log for Sunday February 18 through Saturday, February 24, 2018 has 60 reported incidents. RESIDENTIAL BURGLARIES There were 6 in Torrance and none in Southeast Torrance 3 in North Torrance, 2 in Country Hills and 2 in Walteria. AUTO BURGLARIES There were 17 in Torrance and 2 in Southeast Torrance. Sunday, February 18th  22700 Cypress St  Two incidents Battery charger stolen from 1 vehicle and a bag, Bible and religious material from another vehicle. THEFT There were 11 incidents reported in Torrance and none in Southeast Torrance. Tailgates were stolen from 3 vehicles in North Torrance and delivered parcels taken from front porches in North Torrance and Southwood. ARSON One incident in North Torrance.
