Weekly Crime Report 1 14 2018 through 1 20 2018

This report is for Sunday, January 14, 2018 through Saturday, January 20, 2018. There are 55 incidents on the report.   RESIDENTIAL BURGLARIES There were 3 in Torrance and none in Southeast Torrance. 2 in North Torrance and 1 in the Hillside area.  Entry in one home was made via an unlocked window.   AUTO BURGLARIES There were 19 in Torrance and none in Southeast Torrance.  Two of them were in the 3500 Block of Carson St (Del Amo Mall) on Tuesday, January 16th between 8:30 AM and 10:15 AM.   Items stolen from the vehicles included an adapter, shoes, backpack, textbook, calculator, sunglasses, wallet, coolers, another wallet, garage remote, more sunglasses, tablet, clothes, Flash Pro, Beats Pill speaker, console tray, sanitizer, clippers, cash, purse, cell phone, another wallet, another cell phone, credit card, keys, more cash, another purse, notebooks, laptop bag, laptop, watch, another purse, another wallet, candles, and an attempt to take

South Coast Air Quality Management District Meeting on Refinery Issues

1 of 9 New Comprehensive Stroke Centers in LA County is in Torrance

Three Alarm Fire in Torrance Residential Condominium Complex on Plaza Del Amo

  Torrance firefighters responded to a 3rd alarm structure fire this morning, Sunday, January 21, 2018,  in a 4 unit condominium complex in the 2800 Block of Plaza Del Amo (between Maple Ave and Crenshaw Blvd). Firefighters worked hard to control the blaze which rapidly spread to the other units through concealed spaces in the walls as well as through the attic.   This report is for Sunday, January 7, 2018 through Saturday, January 13, 2018. There are 47 incidents listed in the report.   RESIDENTIAL BURGLARIES There were 5 in Torrance and 1 in Southeast Torrance, 2 in the Madrona area, 1 in the Seaside area and 1 in North Torrance. 1/13/18 to 1/15/18  23800 Lamour Court (Cabrillo – Walnut St off 238th St) Entry made via unlocked window.  Property ransacked and jewelry/cash stolen.   AUTO BURGLARIES There were 16 in Torrance and none in Southeast Torrance.  6 windows were smashed for entry and 4 vehicles were not secured.   Items stolen included watches, hard drive, cash, knife, charger, paperwork, backpack bag, more cash, P.A. system, musical instruments, briefcase, paperwork, checks, tablet, watch, band card, ID’s, jewelry, registration, insurance, bag, purse, luggage, spare tire, even more cash, flashlight, tote bags, clothes, handicap placard, DVD player, sunglasses, cables, headphones, phone hold

This report is for Sunday, December 31, 2017 through Saturday, January 6, 2018. There were 38 incidents in the log.   RESIDENTIAL BURGLARIES There were 3 in Torrance and none in Southeast Torrance. 1 each in North Torrance, Country Hills and the Riviera.   AUTO BURGLARY There were 14 in Torrance and none in Southeast Torrance. Vehicle windows were smashed for entry in 6 vehicles and 2 vehicles were unlocked.
