Weekly Crime Report for Southeast Torrance 11 5 17 to 11 11 17

The report is for Sunday, November 5, 2017 through Saturday, November 11, 2017. There are 44 incidents on the report.   RESIDENTIAL BURGLARIES There were 5 in Torrance and none in Southeast Torrance. 2 in the Hollywood Riviera, 1 in Southwood Sunray, 1 in North Torrance and 1 in Palo del Amo.   AUTO BURGLARIES There were 10 in Torrance and 1 in Southeast Torrance. Residents in Old Torrance Score Victory Against Developer

  Update on the Torrance City Council Meeting, Tuesday, November 14th   10A. Community Development – Consider Appeal of Planning Commission Approval of a Conditional Use Permit to Allow a New Service Station and Market with the Retail Sale of Beer and Wine for Off-Site Consumption, in Conjunction with a Tentative Parcel Map to Consolidate Parcels, on Properties Located Within the Torrance Tract Overlay Zone in the D-T Zone at 1954-1978 Carson Street (APNs 7357-016-001 to -005). CUP17-00011, DIV17-00007: Tower Energy Group (Mark Vasey).     This report is for Sunday, October, 29, 2017 through Saturday, November 4, 2017 with 49 incidents.   RESIDENTIAL BURGLARIES There were 7 in Torrance and none in Southeast Torrance. 3 in Walteria, 2 in the Hollywood Riviera, 1 in the Hillside and 1 in Southwood Riviera. 2 of the 3 burglaries in Walteria were between 11 AM and 11:23 AM on November 2nd.   AUTO BURGLARIES There were 14 in Torrance and none in Southeast Torrance. 5 vehicles were unlocked and windows were smashed in 5 vehicles for entry. Items stolen included:  Work ID, registration, insurance, GPS, purses, sunglasses, purse pouches, laptop, shoes, drill set, tools, jacket, knife, paperwork, FasTrak pass, wallets, tote bag, clothes, shoes, diaper bag, manual, flashlight, cash.   AUTO THEFT There were 9 stolen vehicles in Torrance and none in Southeast Torrance.   THEFT There were 7 reported incidents and none in Southeast Torrance. Wendy's is coming to Southeast Torrance

  Wendy’s is proposing to operate a new Wendy’s fast-casual restaurant that combines the concepts of full-service and fast food at the site of the former El Paso Cantina restaurant site at 2404 Sepulveda Blvd at Pennsylvania Avenue in Southeast Torrance.   Storm Properties, Inc., the property owner, and the Wendy’s team is inviting residents of Southeast Torrance,  to a project presentation on Tuesday, November 14th at 6:30 pm at the Sizzler Restaurant located at  2880 Sepulveda Blvd, Torrance CA  90505.  Food, soft drinks and coffee will be provided.   We certainly appreciate Storm Properties and Wendy’s reaching out to the Southeast Torrance community on the project.  Keep in mind that this is your opportunity to ask questions and offer comments directly to the project developer.    If you have any questions or comments, please send a email to  SoutheastTorranceHOA@yahoo..com .    John Bailey, President Southeast Torrance Homeowners’ Association, Inc.   This report is for Sunday, October 22, 2017 through Saturday, October 28, 2017. 45 items are listed on the report.   RESIDENTIAL BURGLARIES There were 5 in Torrance and none in Southeast Torrance. 1 in the Hollywood Riviera and 4 in North Torrance.    AUTO BURGLARIES There were 9 in Torrance and none in Southeast Torrance. Items stolen included purses (3) , laptop, sunglasses (2), gym bag, gym clothes, shoes, computer bag, ID, keys, wallet, coin pouch, registration, TV’s, t-shirts, and checkbooks.   AUTO THEFT There were 6 stolen vehicles in Torrance and none in Southeast Torrance.  One was a 2017 Mercedes Benz SUV stolen from the 3300 Block of Pacific Coast Hwy   THEFT There were 15 incidents reported and none in Southeast Torrance. 4 bicycles were stolen and 4 wallets were stolen from purses while the victims were shopping in the 3400 Block of Sepulveda Blvd, 2500 Block of PCH, 5100 Block of 190th Street and 24300 Block of Crenshaw B
