US Navy's Blue Angels Flight, Sunday, September 22nd, Over Los Angeles and the South Bay

LOS ANGELES — The U.S. Navy’s elite Blue Angels flight team will tear across the Los Angeles skyline tonight as part of an orientation tour of the city. The display will begin between 6 p.m. and 7 p.m. and last about 20 minutes. The flight demonstration team will enter the San Fernando Valley from the northwest and buzz by Burbank Airport, Dodger Stadium, then circle downtown L.A. and head to the Griffith Observatory and the Hollywood sign, across LAX and down to L.A. Harbor over the USS Iowa.

Police Arrest Two Suspects with Prior Felony Convictions in Attempted Extortion Scam

Upcoming Closure of Sepulveda Blvd at Walnut Street for Three Days

Burlington Northern Santa Fe (BNSF) Railway has scheduled railroad repair on Sepulveda at Walnut Street for three days. Repair Work Begins:        7 am     Friday      September 20, 2019 Repair Work Ends:           5 am    Monday   September 23, 2019 Sepulveda Blvd will be completely closed at Walnut Street to both eastbound and westbound traffic.  Walnut Street will be completely closed at Sepulveda Blvd to on/off traffic from Sepulveda Blvd.   Significant delays are expected and alternate routes will have to be used. Crenshaw Blvd Traffic Lane Closures

  SoCal Edison will reduce southbound Crenshaw Blvd. from three lanes to two lanes from Monterey St. to Jefferson St . due to the placing of fiber and coax cables in existing conduits.  The closure will not be on the days the Farmer’s Market is held at Wilson Park.   Road Closures will occur on the following days: Friday, September 13 from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Monday, September 16 from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Wednesday, September 18 from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Thursday, September 19 from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Friday, September 20 from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. All lanes will be open to traffic on the following days: Saturday, September 14 Sunday, September 15 Tuesday, September 17 Please avoid the area.
