Weekly Crime Report and Stonefire Grill Opening Set


This report is for Sunday, December 31, 2017 through Saturday, January 6, 2018.
There were 38 incidents in the log.
 
RESIDENTIAL BURGLARIES
There were 3 in Torrance and none in Southeast Torrance.
1 each in North Torrance, Country Hills and the Riviera.
 
AUTO BURGLARY
There were 14 in Torrance and none in Southeast Torrance.
Vehicle windows were smashed for entry in 6 vehicles and 2 vehicles were unlocked.
Items stolen included third row seats, tool boxes, saw, drill, cash, backpack, jacket,
groceries, Toyota reverse camera, cosmetics, purse, sunglasses, handgun, holster,
ammunition, another purse and jacket, credit cards, another third row seat, DVD’s,
headset and portable battery.
 
AUTO THEFT
There were 4 stolen vehicles in Torrance and none in Southeast Torrance.
 
THEFT
There were 11 incidents reported including 1 in Southeast Torrance.
1/5/18 to 1/6/18  24200 Block Walnut St    Suspect took jewelry from residence.
Delivered parcels were reported in 3 incidents in the 22900 Block of Anza, 3500 Block
of 187th St and 3900 Block Emerald St during the daytime. 
Mail was stolen in 4 incidents including 3 in Old Torrance and 1 in North Torrance.

HOLIDAY SCHEDULE FOR REFUSE & RECYCLING COLLECTION
No collection on Monday, January 15,2018, Martin Luther King Jr Day.  Collection is
one day later following a holiday.
Collection day in Southeast Torrance will be Friday, January 19, 2018.
 
STONEFIRE GRILL
The Stonefire Grill is scheduled to hold a grand opening on Tuesday, February 6, 2018
in their new Torrance location at 25352 Crenshaw Blvd in the Rolling Hills Plaza.  It is
the site of the old Macaroni Grill.  Stonefire Grill is a family-style restaurant with 10

Paper Shredding and Electronics Recycling for Torrance Residents Only

City of Torrance Public Works is holding an Earth Day recycling event for free paper shredding and electronics recycling. Saturday, August 21, 2021 8 a.m. - noon Torrance City Hall East Employee Parking Lot (near Torrance Courthouse off Maple Avenue) The Recycling Event is for TORRANCE RESIDENTS ONLY.
