RESIDENTIAL BURGLARIES
There were 3 in Torrance. 1 each in Southeast Torrance, Old Torrance and the Hillside area.
Southeast Torrance
7 12 5PM 2400 Block 235th Place Suspect entered open garage, entered residence via open
access door, fled when resident yelled at him. No property loss
Old Torrance
7 12 1AM 800 Block Portola Ave Suspected entered residence via unlocked door and fled
when victim woke up in the bedroom.
Hillside
7 16 2:44AM 2500 Ridgeland Rd Glass Panel removed to unlock door for entry, Suspects fled
when victim awoke, screamed and chased them out of the residence.
AUTO BURGLARIES
There were 5 in Torrance and windows were smashed in 3 vehicles for entry.
Items stolen included a wallet, speaker, cash, sunglasses, a key, backpacks, clothes,
tablet and another wallet. US mail was also stolen.
7 13 2021 4:45 pm to 5:15 pm 3800 Block 182nd St US Mail truck door forced open and
mail was stolen.
AUTO THEFT
There were 11 vehicles stolen in Torrance. Older vehicles are quite popular and include
Sierra's, Astro's, F350's, Silverado's and Econoliners.
THEFT
There were 15 incidents in Torrance including 4 stolen catalytic converters.
7 11 6:30 to 9 pm 22700 Block Cypress in Southeast Torance - Catalytic converter stolen.
7 11 11:47 am 900 Block Sartori Ave Delivered parcel stolen from porch.
