RESIDENTIAL BURGLARIES
There were 8 in Torrance and none in Southeast Torrance.
3 each in Old Torrance and North Torrance, 1 in Country Hills and 1 in the Riviera.
Suspects fled from two homes when confronted by residents.
 
AUTO BURGLARIES
There were 12 in Torrance and one in Southeast Torrance.  4 vehicles were unlocked,
windows were smashed for entry in 2 vehicles and door locks punched in 2 vehicles.
 
3/16  11 PM to 3/17 11PM   23000 Block Arlington Av  Battery stolen from engine compartment of vehicle.
 
Items stolen included a car battery, cash, gift cards, took kit, wallet, cell phone, jacket, diaper bag,
laptop, more cash, sunglasses, cologne, clothes, shoes backpack, another laptop, duffle, toiletry bag,
toolbox, bags of Easter candy, cleaning produces, food, more sunglasses, car registration, insurance papers,
electric skateboard, tools, another wallet, more cash, headphones, medication and social security cards.
 
AUTO THEFT
There were 4 stolen vehicles in Torrance and none in Southeast Torrance.
 
THEFT
There were 8 incidents in Torrance and 2 in Southeast Torrance.
3/12  4-6PM   1700 Block Sepulveda Blvd (Strip mall)  Bank bag with cash stolen.
3/16 9AM to 3 17 1:30PM     2300 Block 228th St  Battery stolen from engine compartment.
 
Tailgates were stolen from parked vehicles in the 2600 Block of 232nd St and 2900 Block of 226th St.
and the 2200 Block of Andreo Avenue.

Paper Shredding and Electronics Recycling for Torrance Residents Only

City of Torrance Public Works is holding an Earth Day recycling event for free paper shredding and electronics recycling. Saturday, August 21, 2021 8 a.m. - noon Torrance City Hall East Employee Parking Lot (near Torrance Courthouse off Maple Avenue) The Recycling Event is for TORRANCE RESIDENTS ONLY.
