6F. City Manager – Conduct Workshop Regarding Torrance Refinery Update. Expenditure: $283,000 (Six month funding cost is $151,000 – General Fund).

Recommendation of the City Manager that City Council conduct Workshop regarding Torrance Refinery Update, receive public input and provide direction for going forward with respect to:

A) Approve City’s proposal of projects for the $2.7 Million SCAQMD Supplemental Environment Project (SEP) Fund Air Quality Improvement Projects
 
B) Return to City Council in 3 to 6 months with an update on following items:
 
C) Approve dedicated staffing support of Torrance Alerts System

Paper Shredding and Electronics Recycling for Torrance Residents Only

City of Torrance Public Works is holding an Earth Day recycling event for free paper shredding and electronics recycling. Saturday, August 21, 2021 8 a.m. - noon Torrance City Hall East Employee Parking Lot (near Torrance Courthouse off Maple Avenue) The Recycling Event is for TORRANCE RESIDENTS ONLY.
