Drug Bust in Southeast Torrance

Torrance police arrest 9 at troublesome house

By Larry Altman, Daily Breeze
Nine people were arrested when police raided a Torrance house that some neighbors deemed a nuisance, authorities said Friday.
Detectives served a search warrant at the house Thursday evening in the 1800 block of West 235th Street in Torrance. The occupants, some who lived there and others described as visitors, were arrested on drug-related and other offenses, including warrants seeking their arrests, police said.
Records show the house is owned by two brothers, one who died in 2004 and one in 2010. Neither appeared to have heirs. A man who took over the house was among those arrested, authorities said.
Neighbors said people come and go from the residence at all hours.
