Weekly Crime Report for Southeast Torrance


This report is for Sunday, August 23rd through Saturday, August 29, 2015.
 
RESIDENTIAL BURGLARIES
There were 4 in Torrance and none in Southeast Torrance.
 
Tuesday, August 25th  8PM  3100 Block Plaza Del Amo  (Madrona Marsh)
Attempted made to pry sliding glass door.  No entry.
 
Tuesday, August 25th, 11 am to 3PM  2000 Block 180th Place (North)
Window cut and jewelry & cash taken.
 
Monday, August 24th, 3:00 to 3:30PM  20500 Block Victor St (West High)
Suspect removed screen, entered open window and took jewelry & watch.
 
Monday, August 24th, 11:59AM  400 Block Paseo De La Playa (Hollywood Riviera)
Suspect took garage remote from unlocked vehicle, used it to enter garage and
residence.  Champagne stolen.  No information if it was Moet & Chandon Dom
Perignon and quantity taken.
 
AUTO BURGLARY
There were 8 in Torrance and 2 in Southeast Torrance.
3 of the 8 were unlocked and 2 were entered by unknown means.
A third row seat was taken from 1 vehicle and catalytic converters were removed from
3 vehicles.
 
Sunday, August 23rd, 6PM to Monday, August 24th, 7AM, 1900 Block Reynosa Drive
Vehicle entered by unknown means and manual taken.
 
Wednesday, August 26th, 11PM to Thursday, August 27th, 7:30 AM  1700 245th St
Vehicle entered by unknown means and passport, phone and purse taken.
 
AUTO THEFT
5 vehicles were stolen in Torrance and none in Southeast Torrance.
 
41 incidents were reported to Torrance Police including a telephone scam.  On Wednesday,
August 26th, suspect posing as the IRS, telephoned victim and convinced him he needed to
submit a payment to the IRS or a warrant would be issued for his arrest.  Victim made
deposit to the account provided by the suspect.

This report is for Sunday, July 11, 2021 through Saturday, July 17, 2021. 45 incidents reported in the City of Torrance Crime Log at: https://www.torranceca.gov/home/showpublisheddocument/67336/637625553607530000 RESIDENTIAL BURGLARIES There were 3 in Torrance. 1 each in Southeast Torrance, Old Torrance and the Hillside area. Southeast Torrance 7 12 5PM 2400 Block 235th Place Suspect entered open garage, entered residence via open access door, fled when resident yelled at him. No property loss Old Torrance 7 12 1AM 800 Block Portola Ave Suspected entered residence via unlocked door and fled when victim woke up in the bedroom. Hillside 7 16 2:44AM 2500 Ridgeland Rd Glass Panel removed to unlock door for entry, Suspects fled when victim awoke, screamed and chased them out of the residence. AUTO BURGLARIES There were 5 in Torrance and windows were smashed in 3 vehicles for entry. Items stolen included a wallet, speaker, cash, sunglasses, a key, backpacks, clothes, tablet
