RESIDENTIAL BURGLARIES
None in Torrance
 
COMMERCIAL BURGLARIES
There were 3 in Torrance and none in Southeast Torrance.
 
5/30  7 pm to 5/31 11:27 am  Nativity Catholic School 2300 Block Carson St
Entrance via unlocked door.  Property ransacked and whiteboards tagged.
 
5/26 9 pm to 5/27 8:45 am St Abraam Orthodox Church 3600 Block Torrance Blvd
Church entered by unknown means.  Interior doors pried open, ransacked and
food, tv’s, tools, keys, audio surveillance, computer equipment, microphones
and digital piano stolen. 
 
AUTO BURGLARIES
There were 6 in Torrance and 1 in Southeast Torrance.
5/24 7 am to 5/25 3:30 pm 1700 Block Sepulveda Blvd
printer, clothes and key stolen.  This is a strip mall not a residential area.
 
AUTO THEFT
There were 5 stolen vehicles and none in Southeast Torrance.
 
THEFT
There were 9 incidents in Torrance and 1 in Southeast Torrance.
5/24 7 pm to 5/25 3 pm  24200 Block Walnut St  License plate removed from vehicle.
 
A license plate was taken off a parked vehicle in the 3700 Block of Garnet St.
A delivered parcel taken out of a mail box in the 25200 Block of Denny Road.
Wheels and tires removed from a vehicle in the 16900 Block of Crenshaw Blvd.
A catalytic converter removed from a vehicle in the 1600 Block of Post Avenue.
A tailgate taken off a parked truck in the 800 Block of Van Ness Avenue.

Paper Shredding and Electronics Recycling for Torrance Residents Only

City of Torrance Public Works is holding an Earth Day recycling event for free paper shredding and electronics recycling. Saturday, August 21, 2021 8 a.m. - noon Torrance City Hall East Employee Parking Lot (near Torrance Courthouse off Maple Avenue) The Recycling Event is for TORRANCE RESIDENTS ONLY.
