Weekly Crime Report for 6/14 ti 6/20, 2020 and Coronavirus Graphics

 This report is for Sunday, June 14, 2020 through Saturday, June 20, 2020.
There are 65 incidents in the Torrance Police Department Weekly Crime Log at:
 
RESIDENTIAL BURGLARIES
There were two in Torrance and none in Southeast Torrance.
One in North Torrance where a ladder was used to access a second story balcony with unlocked door for entry and steal a tile saw.
One daytime burglary in the Riviera where a open door was forced for entry, property ransacked and purse, jewelry, watches and pillowcase were stolen.
 
AUTO BURGLARIES
There were 14 in Torrance and 1 in Southeast Torrance.
6/18 5 pm to 6/19 5 am  23300 Block Arlington Av Suspect entered unlocked vehicle, ransacked and took documents, light bulbs and lumbar support pad.
 
5 vehicles were unlocked, 4 vehicles unknown means of entry, 3 vehicles with smashed windows and 1 vehicle with pried door handle for entry.
 
Items stolen included earbuds, sunglasses, gift cards, jewelry, documents, knives, CDs, tools, binoculars, three backpacks, baby products, cell phone, taser, stereo,
ballistic armor, bags of newly purchased clothes in a vehicle parked in the 3500 Block of Carson St in the 5 pm hour, credit card, registration, insurance, leaf
blower, CTS valve sensor programmer, airbag compressor controller, tool kit, purse, and dash camera.
 
AUTO THEFT
There were 13 vehicles stolen in Torrance and none in Southeast Torrance.
 
THEFT
There were 18 incidents including 3 in Southeast Torrance.
6 17  4:57 pm  2300 Block 237th St  Bicycle parked in front of property and it was stolen.
 
8 catalytic converters stolen this week in addition to the 13 last week.
2 in Southeast Torrance, 3 in Marble Estates, 1 in South Torrance, 1 in Hollywood Riviera and 1 in West Torrance.
 
There were 2 incidents of porch piracy. 1 in Walteria and 1 in North Torrance

This report is for Sunday, July 11, 2021 through Saturday, July 17, 2021. 45 incidents reported in the City of Torrance Crime Log at: https://www.torranceca.gov/home/showpublisheddocument/67336/637625553607530000 RESIDENTIAL BURGLARIES There were 3 in Torrance. 1 each in Southeast Torrance, Old Torrance and the Hillside area. Southeast Torrance 7 12 5PM 2400 Block 235th Place Suspect entered open garage, entered residence via open access door, fled when resident yelled at him. No property loss Old Torrance 7 12 1AM 800 Block Portola Ave Suspected entered residence via unlocked door and fled when victim woke up in the bedroom. Hillside 7 16 2:44AM 2500 Ridgeland Rd Glass Panel removed to unlock door for entry, Suspects fled when victim awoke, screamed and chased them out of the residence.
