Dear
Mayor and Members of the Torrance City Council:
I have decided to retire from my position of City
Manager at the end of September in this remarkable year of 2020.
Thanks for these 50-plus years that you have
allowed me to serve this City. I so much appreciate the Mayors and
Councilmembers I have reported to, and the managers and Torrance City employees
I have been so honored to work with.
This has been a great and rewarding career for
me. I hope my service has helped Torrance meet its goals of being a special
City to live and work in.
As I prepare for my retirement, I am pleased that
I leave an organization which is led by a group of very capable department heads
and managers, and that it has a compliment of City employees who are public
servants truly committed to serving our residents and business
community.
I feel very confident in the future of the
organization I leave.
