LA County Public Health Coronavirus Update 5/4/2020 283 cases in Torrance, an increase of 4



LOS ANGELES – The Los Angeles County Department of Public Health (Public Health) has confirmed 28 new deaths and 568 new cases of 2019 Novel Coronavirus (COVID-19).
 
TORRANCE                       283 increase of 4    (The community rate in Torrance is 189 cases per 100,000 people)
  This number includes all Torrance zip codes, including addresses not within the City boundaries.
 
Hermosa Beach                 24 no change          (The community rate in Hermosa Beach is 122 cases per 100,000 people)
Lawndale                            61 increase of 1       (The community rate in Lawndale is 181 cases per 100,000 people)
Lomita                                36 increase of 1       (The community rate in Lomita is 173 cases per 100,000 people)
Manhattan Beach             66 no change           (The community rate in MHB is 183 cases per 100,000 people)
PVE                                     37  no change          (The community rate in PVE is 273 cases per 100,000 people)
RPV                                     62 increase of 1       (The community rate in RPV is 145 cases per 100,000 people)

Paper Shredding and Electronics Recycling for Torrance Residents Only

City of Torrance Public Works is holding an Earth Day recycling event for free paper shredding and electronics recycling.
