RESIDENTIAL BURGLARIES
There were 2 in Torrance and none in Southeast Torrance.
 
7/21  11:30 AM to 1 PM  North Torrance, 2000 Block 171st Street.
  Suspect entered unsecured residence, ransacked and took purses,
tablet, jewelry, documents, game console and controllers.
 
7/22 10 PM to 7/23 8 AM  New Horizons  23000 Block Nadine Circle
Suspect entered via unlocked sliding glass door and took purse, key,
tablet and wallet.
 
AUTO BURGLARIES
There were 2 in North Torrance.
 
AUTO THEFT
There were 7 in Torrance and none in Southeast Torrance.
3 in Southwood Riviera, 3 in North Torrance and 1 in Old Torrance.
 
THEFT
There were 10 incidents in Torrance and none in Southeast Torrance
 
7 27  2 PM  24300 Crenshaw Blvd, Crossroads Shopping Center
Suspect stole purse from victim’s shopping cart as she was loading groceries.
 
7 24  4 PM  1800 Block 182nd St (Western Avenue)
Suspect stole purse from victim’s shopping cart as she was loading groceries.
 
7 21  Around Noon  1900 Block Plaza del Amo
Delivered parcel stolen from porch.

Paper Shredding and Electronics Recycling for Torrance Residents Only

City of Torrance Public Works is holding an Earth Day recycling event for free paper shredding and electronics recycling. Saturday, August 21, 2021 8 a.m. - noon Torrance City Hall East Employee Parking Lot (near Torrance Courthouse off Maple Avenue) The Recycling Event is for TORRANCE RESIDENTS ONLY.
