46 incidents on the Torrance Police Department Weekly Crime Log at:
 
RESIDENTIAL BURGLARIES
There were 3 in Torrance and none in Southeast Torrance.
1 in the Seaside area, 1 in Southwood Riviera and 1 in the SouthBayPoint townhouse area.
 
AUTO BURGLARIES
There were 17 in Torrance and none in Southeast Torrance.
3 in Old Torrance, 2 in the Hillside area, 2 in Delthorne, 2 in Torrance Heights, and
1 each in West, New Horizons, Hollywood Riviera, North and Crossroads.
 
AUTO THEFT
5 vehicles were stolen and none in Southeast Torrance.
 
THEFT
5 incidents in Torrance and none in Southeast Torrance.
No reported catalytic converter thefts or porch piracy incidents.
 
VANDALISM
There were 5 incidents in Torrance and 1 in Southeast Torrance.
8 16 19  12:06AM  23700 Block Lucille Av  Suspect damages victim’s residence door by kicking it.
 
UPDATE ON THE COSTCO PROPERTY
An extension to July 19, 2020 has been approved for the additional island to the existing gas station
and to convert portions of the approved medical office park to a parking lot, along with related site
modifications.  Construction is not expected to begin until the first quarter of 2020.

Paper Shredding and Electronics Recycling for Torrance Residents Only

City of Torrance Public Works is holding an Earth Day recycling event for free paper shredding and electronics recycling. Saturday, August 21, 2021 8 a.m. - noon Torrance City Hall East Employee Parking Lot (near Torrance Courthouse off Maple Avenue) The Recycling Event is for TORRANCE RESIDENTS ONLY.
