Weekly Crime Report for Southeast Torrance

 This report is for Sunday, February 24, 2019 through Saturday, March 2, 2019.
There are 41 incidents on the Torrance Police Department Weekly Crime Log at:
 
RESIDENTIAL BURGLARY
There was 1 on February 27, 2019 between 7:45 AM and 9 PM in the 2300 Block of 180th Street.
Side window smashed for entry and jewelry, cash and pillow cases were stolen.
 
AUTO BURGLARIES
There were 16 in Torrance and none in Southeast Torrance.
4 vehicles were unlocked, 4 vehicles entry unknown, 1 vehicle lock was punched and
7 vehicles had smashed windows.
 
On February 28th between 5 PM and 8:20PM in the 23600 Block of Anza Avenue, a vehicle
window was smashed.  A purse with cash, credit cards, medication and drivers license was
stolen.  Unauthorized charges were made to the victim’s credit card.
 
AUTO THEFT
Two vehicles were stolen in Torrance and none in Southeast Torrance.
 
THEFT
There were 5 incidents in Torrance and none in Southeast Torrance.
A parcel was stolen from the front porch of a house in the 400 Block of Paseo de Las Estrellas on February 27th.
Tires and wheels were removed from 2 vehicles and license plates were removed from 1 vehicle.

Southeast Torrance 7 12 5PM 2400 Block 235th Place Suspect entered open garage, entered residence via open access door, fled when resident yelled at him. No property loss Old Torrance 7 12 1AM 800 Block Portola Ave Suspected entered residence via unlocked door and fled when victim woke up in the bedroom. Hillside 7 16 2:44AM 2500 Ridgeland Rd Glass Panel removed to unlock door for entry, Suspects fled when victim awoke, screamed and chased them out of the residence.
